I am delighted to congratulate Amanda Johnson on being named the Taylor County School District Teacher of the Year. Amanda has been an exemplary educator in our district since 2017, currently inspiring and guiding all our 7th-grade students in their civics education. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and eagerly anticipate her participation in the statewide competition representing all districts in Florida.

Floyd Mango is a valued member of the Taylor County Primary School community. Over the past four years, he has proven to be an indispensable asset, consistently going above and beyond to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming classrooms, hallways, and communal areas for both staff and students. His meticulous attention to detail is exceptional, and he takes immense pride in his work.
Beyond the quality of his contributions, Mr. Mango significantly enriches the school environment with his friendly demeanor, helpful disposition, and sincere concern for the well-being of everyone on campus. Each day, he greets students and staff with a warm "good morning" and sends them off with a bright smile as they depart in the afternoon. Mr. Mango is highly respected and is often described as someone who never complains and always wears a smile!
