Steinhatchee School Completes Tricycle Track Improvements

Steinhatchee School’s Pre-K students, along with Ms. Dorry and Ms. Kylee, are excited about recent improvements to their play area.  Last year, new tricycles were provided through local donations from the Steinhatchee Chamber of Commerce and the William Sikes family.  Earlier this school year, a tricycle track was added and the final touches were completed over Christmas break when the new “tricycle garage” was completed.  Steinhatchee School would like to thank Chad Griffin and crew for donating their labor to form and finish the concrete track as well as Danielle Norwood with Sea Hag Marina for purchasing the concrete materials.  A big thank you also goes out to Steinhatchee Ace Hardware for contributing to the project by donating the fill dirt necessary to complete the job.  The tricycle storage addition was made possible by a donation from the William Sikes family, along with extra Pre-K fundraisers, to pay for the building materials.  Principal Jimmy Bray and family put their time off on Christmas break to good use by exercising their construction skills through building the tricycle garage.  Principal Bray is very thankful for the tremendous community support and care shown for the students at Steinhatchee School!
